- Status : These two projects, which is/are ongoing seemingly looks like the same. It is handled by a Chinese company. The rehabilitation/ repairs of this road is supposed to be a construction or dualization of the road and a Bridge at Uyo Afaha along Ikot Ekpene – Calabar Itu road. But it was observed during tracking that work on the road did not begin at the expected start up of the road, which is the ring Circus at Ikot Ekpene – Calabar Itu junction. It was also observed that the road construction is done in segments. Example: it begins at Ikot Akpan Ekpuk Village, with a greater portion left. Then, it started again at Ikot Udu Village and stopped somewhere again, before extending to Akakpeme in some areas, then to Uyo Afaha, where there is a bridge that construction was active on the date of visit. There is a curiosity! If this is the same project but awarded in two Lots or duplicated. This needs further investigation and clarification by the implementing agency. This tracking took place on the 19th of January 2024.
